Bringing home new calves...
It was time to bring home a few new bottle calves so we headed over to our good friends who own and operate the Wrights Dairy Farm in Zionsville. What a great family! They love the kids so much and the kids love hanging out at their beautiful farm. I have a feeling that some day Reagan will go over there to just hang out and play with the baby calves and help around their farm just because she loves being there so much...
I couldn't resist taking photos of the kids by their huge John Deere Tractor
Lincoln was so scared of the cows so Reagan was trying to show him
it was ok to pet them. So cute.
So Michael loaded up the baby calves and here you can see Eli is trying his best to tell Lincoln its really ok to come inside and take a look.
Nope, don't think so! I'll just stand out here!
Aren't they adorable!
The kids and the calves!

Wonderful Sunday All Around
We had an awesome Sunday morning service!
So very thankful to belong to a church that doesn't preach fluff from the pulpit! We LOVE our Pastor and his beautiful wife and family...
So blessed we are to have found the Journey Church in Plainfield, Ind,
After church we met up with a very dear friend of ours, Ella Irene.
Most of my friends know who Ella is. She the one that's not "really" the kids aunt but she acts like she is! You know, she never forgets any holiday, never forgets to come to a piano recital or a play the kids are in. She always makes time for our kids. She always has and always will. Plus, Ella and I have a crazy special bond that will always be there. Oh the stories we could tell!
We can usually finish each others sentences. Ok, now that could be bad!
So the kids were wanting to eat at
Noodles & Company
after church so Ella came along...
She came to see Lincoln come home from China at the airport but really wanted some more one on one time with him.
He really took to her!
We love our Ella Bobba!

Dinner With Friends
Friday evening we met a few of our dear friends for dinner
that have also adopted children from China.
One family, the Allen's, we have traveled with 3 out of our 4 trips to China.
What a wonderful family they are!
We also enjoyed hanging out with the Duke family, the Perry family, and the Davis family.
We don't get together very often but since we just came back from China just a week ago with Lincoln and Sandy and Mike's boys Pryor and Boone
we wanted everyone to get the chance to meet the boys.
Everyone had a great time, especially the kiddos!
Our Oldest Daughter and Her Family
Our oldest daughter Lindsey married a wonderful man back in May 2010.
He is an Officer in the United States Air Force.
They are stationed in Valdosta, Georgia for now.
They have blessed us with our first grandbaby named Levi Michael that I love so deeply!
God has continued to bless them as they have purchased their first home.
Its a beautiful place! They have also connected with a great little church down there.
So happy for that too!
Boy do we miss them and of course we especially miss our little precious Pea-Pod Levi...
Lindsey says the people down south are extremely nice.
And of course they drink sweet tea out of mason jars!
What's not to love right?!

Harvest Time
I love this time of the year... Harvest Time.
Fall just brings so many wonderful memories for me.
Our older kiddos have always pitched in and worked hard around here
helping us keep up with "Farm Chores".
Lindsey was no exception when she was still home. She took great care of her sheep.
Now Reagan feeds the cows, goats, and chickens each day.
Ben helps by stacking the hay back into the loft among other things.
So far this year we've gotten 400 bales with two cuts of hay.
Hoping we will get one more cut before cold weather settles in
Ben doing his part...
Took this yesterday of the combine cutting the field across our County Road...

Welcome to our Family Blog...
I've been an avid blog reader for years of friends and family blogs.
I've often thought someday I'll get around to starting one for our family.
So with the encouragement of a dear friend of mine who has a great family blog of her own here goes nothing!
I am a stay at home mom with five beautiful kiddos, soon to be six as we are traveling to China, this week in fact, to bring our third son home!
My wonderful husband works two jobs. We raise a few livestock animals to feed the family, grow our own hay, and yep we homeschool our kids too!
We live in a rural community just west of Indianapolis. We have always dreamed of raising our children in the country and by the grace of God 10 years ago we found this beautiful little farmhouse that we now reside in.
I love this place!
It fits us like a glove. Its home...
